6. Where do I put the IDsticker™ on my car?

Your IDsticker™ package comes with several IDstickers of various sizes. We recommend that you put the large sticker on the inside of your rear window. The medium sized sticker should go in the passenger side lower window. The two smaller stickers can be put on either of the rear side windows.

7. What do I do if I get new plates or sell my car?

Your IDsticker™ is made with a strong adhesive that will make it difficult for a thief to quickly remove from your window. However, if you take your time, use a sticker removal product and follow the instructions included in your IDsticker™ packet you will be able to safely remove your IDsticker™ completely. 8. How do I properly install the IDsticker onto my window?

In order to make your IDsticker difficult to remove by thieves you will need to install it properly. You must first clean the window area with a damp cloth and remove all dirt and dust. Next, using a cloth, you must carefully apply Mineral Spirits, a fine quality thinner, to the area you will place the sticker on. Upon cleaning the winow area with Mineral Spirits you peel off the sticker backing and carefully place the IDsticker in the exact spot you want it. Use caution as it will be difficult to remove the sticker once it has been placed on the glass. Smooth out the IDsticker using a cloth to push out any airbubbles. If the airbubble persist you can delicately slice them with a razor and push the air out of the slit. Warning: Although mineral spirits are less toxic and flammable than gum turpentine, they should be used with caution. Follow directions for use carefully. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Mineral spirits are not suitable for use by young children. Back to top




9. How can I take advantage of the Nation's Neighborhood Watch For Stolen Vehicles if my vehicle is ever stolen?

Your IDsticker™ purchase qualifies you to automatically register your vehicle in the StolenCarReports database and alert citizens in your community to look out for your vehicle. Normally there is a $15 registration fee, but this fee is waived for all vehicles registered in the N.V.I.P and armed with the IDsticker™. 10. How do I get rid of any air bubbles?

Sometimes it is difficult to get rid of all the air bubbles. This is particularly true when you have prepared the window properly and it is hard to pull the sticker off to re-apply. Air bubbles will gradually disappear as long as the sticker gets direct sunlight. Back to top
